CHAKAM is in beta. We'll update this policy before the public release and show the date of the change here.
This policy explains what the CHAKAM app (also called Saz2Note) collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions: nima.saz2note@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, name and password. We store only a secure hash of your password, never the password itself. Optionally a phone number and profile photo.
- Recordings and scores: audio you record or upload for transcription, and the sheet music (MusicXML) created from it, with titles and details you add.
- Feedback on AI results: when you confirm or correct a note the app detected, we keep that recording and your answer.
- Community activity: scores you choose to share, and your likes, comments and bookmarks.
- Plan and payments: your plan and a record of payments (date, amount, plan). Card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach us.
- Technical logs: our servers keep short-term logs, including IP addresses and request times, to keep the service secure and working.
The tuner works on your phone. Sound from the microphone while tuning is analysed on the device and is not sent to us.
How we use it
- To run your account, transcribe your recordings and keep your library.
- To show the scores, names and profile photos you choose to share in the community. You can turn off sharing your profile photo in the app's privacy settings.
- To improve our note-recognition model, using the recordings and corrections you send through the app's feedback tools.
- To send account emails, such as password reset links.
We don't sell your data, show ads or use advertising trackers.
Who processes it for us
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) hosts our servers, database and file storage.
- Payment providers (Stripe for international cards, Zarinpal for Iranian cards) process payments when paid plans are available.
- An email provider delivers account emails such as password resets.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data and scores while your account exists. Deleting a score removes it from your library and deletes its sheet music file; the original recording may stay in storage until you ask us to remove it. Technical logs are kept for a limited time. Recordings used to improve the model may be kept after you delete a score unless you ask us to remove them.
Your choices and rights
- You can edit your name, photo and privacy settings in the app, and delete scores at any time.
- To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and its data, email nima.saz2note@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. We'll reply within 30 days.
Security
Connections to our servers are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored as secure hashes, and password reset links work once and expire after 30 minutes.
Children
CHAKAM is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above, and let you know by email or in the app about important changes.
